Our history

BTME Group Ltd was incorporated in 2005 under the name Bound Tree Medical Europe Ltd, a UK subsidiary of Bound Tree Medical LLC. In January 2007, Bound Tree Medical Europe Ltd acquired the assets of Galls Europe, a tactical and EMS specialist in the UK, in an ambitious move also resulting in a move to our current 15,000ft2 HQ in Telford, Shropshire. With an extensive range of over 18,000 products, Bound Tree Medical Europe Ltd established in the UK and throughout Europe as a preferred source of emergency medical equipment.

On 27th March 2012, Bound Tree Medical Europe Ltd became a fully independent company from our former US parent company Bound Tree Medical, LLC. following a successful management buyout. Our close relationship with Bound Tree Medical continues to this day.

Years of growth followed and after a new partnership with leading tactical brand 5.11 Tactical to offer an exclusive uniform for UK Ambulance and Paramedics, our new brand TacTree was born in December 2013 as the only 5.11 Select Premium Dealer in the UK. With a Flagship UK 5.11 Shop at our premises, TacTree quickly developed a reputation as the main source for 5.11 Tactical products in the UK.

In September 2014, the final step of our independence from our former parent company was complete with the creation of the family owned BTME Group Ltd and our dedicated brands MedTree and TacTree. Bates Footwear UK joined the BTME family in 2019 after successful negotiations with Wolverine Worlwide to become the exclusive distributor in the UK and Ireland.

We are extremely passionate about our mission and it is a the forefront of every decision we make including what products and brands we offer and how we make them available through e-commerce design and direct sales relationships. Customer service is paramount and we live by the simple premise, treat customers the way we would want to be treated ourselves.
